Inquests

KBG provides representation at all types of inquest, including Article 2 and jury inquests. Members are often instructed to appear at PIR Hearings as well as multi-day final hearings.

We have experience in acting for all types of Interested Persons including local authorities, government entities, and charitable bodies, as well as individuals and families. Our members have experience of dealing with a range of sensitive areas including inquests where a conclusion of suicide, neglect, or unlawful killing is anticipated. We have experience in industrial accidents and road traffic collisions, as well as matters involving young people taking their own lives.

We are appreciative of the sensitivities which may arise, both for bereaved families and for others involved, and are able to offer guidance and help in relation to the procedural requirements and expectations.

Members have appeared in a wide range of high profile inquests, including those involving significant press coverage, and those which involve the instruction of Leading Counsel.
