KBG Chambers Mediation Team expands with Charlotte Davies

Civil Team member Charlotte Davies, who also sits as a Deputy District Judge, has qualified with ADR-ODR International as a Civil & Commercial Mediator. She is able to act as a mediator in all types and level of civil dispute. Charlotte, called in 2007, has extensive experience in areas ranging from land and property disputes, to commercial and contractual issues. She is an Associate Member of the Civil Mediation Council, and a Certified ADR ODR International Panel Member. She already has experience under her belt, having been instructed to act as a mediator last month in a commercial property dispute.

Charlotte joins Rawdon Crozier, Andrew Willetts, James Jarvis, Samuel Knight and Abigail Leigh, in the KBG Chambers Mediation Team. Our team offers a broad range of experience, covering all areas of civil and commercial litigation.

Rawdon Crozier, Head of the Civil Team, has a practice with a strong emphasis on property, professional negligence and contract law. He is a Tier 1 recommended property & construction barrister in the 2025 Legal 500 rankings. He trained at the London School of Mediation in 2012 and is an Associate Member of the Civil Mediation Council.

Andrew Willetts TEP is an established chancery practitioner, recommended as a Tier 1 specialist in Chancery, Probate & Tax in the 2025 Legal 2025 rankings. Andrew also sits as a Recorder. He is a qualified and accredited civil and commercial mediator and is available to mediate a wide range of disputes including property disputes and chancery actions.

James Jarvis qualified as a solicitor in 1993, transferring to the bar in 2016. He has broad knowledge of commercial, property, employment and professional negligence matters. A veteran mediator, he strongly believes in the power of jaw-jaw. James is an Associate Member of the Civil Mediation Council.

Samuel Knight has been an accredited mediator since 2021 and became a member of chambers following successful completion of his pupillage in October 2024. Prior to pupillage Sam was a county court advocate. He is experienced in all areas of civil law.

Abigail Leigh became a tenant of chambers in January 2025 following successful completion of her pupillage. She is a qualified mediator in all areas of civil law.

KBG Chambers is able to facilitate in-person mediations at its extensive premises in Royal William Yard in Plymouth. We offer a number of private rooms and conference facilities, ideally suited to the mediation process. There is convenient on-site parking, and catering requirements can also be discussed. All team members are able to mediate online if necessary.

Following the Court of Appeal decision in Churchill v Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council [2023], which opens the door to court-ordered mediation, KBG Chambers is positioning itself at the forefront of mediation services in the South West.
