Pupillage - October 2017

KBG continue to recognise that investing in our pupils is an investment in our future. Our process for selecting pupils aims to identify those who we anticipate will be outstanding candidates to join Chambers as tenants at the end of the pupillage year.

We are looking to recruit 2 pupils to commence their pupillage in October 2017.

The opening date for applications for pupillage is Monday 7th January 2017 and the closing date for applications is Wednesday 1st March 2017.

If you are interested in applying please contact Thomas Challacombe on tc@kbgchambers.co.uk. Please include a covering letter and a CV.

Third Six Applications

As a result of an increasing volume of instructions, Chambers is looking to recruit a junior criminal practitioner interested in developing a prosecution practice. The majority of work, initially will be in the Magistrate’s Court with occasional Crown Court appearances, but it is anticipated that with the full support of a thriving criminal team, a Crown Court practice will be developed in due course. Applications will be treated in the strictest confidence and should be addressed to Thomas Challacombe on tc@kbgchambers.co.uk

Mini-pupillage

Chambers provide 1 week mini-pupillages to under-graduates and graduates.

Due to the nature of our work, it is our policy not to offer mini-pupillages to school or college students.

Places for mini-pupillages are limited. It is our policy to offer mini-pupillages to those who demonstrate both a genuine interest in a career at the Bar and a real potential to be a successful candidate for pupillage.

Chambers is committed to maintaining strong links with local Universities and applications from those with a local connection are encouraged.

If you wish to apply for a mini-pupillage then you need send a copy of your CV, a covering letter and your dates of availability. Please then send this to Michael Brown via email on mb@kbgchambers.co.uk .

Mini-pupils will be assessed during their mini-pupillage and this may be used to assist us in relation to any subsequent application for a full pupillage.
