Chambers supports the regional round of the National Bar Mock Trial Competition

21st November 2014

Last weekend, Truro Crown Court was the venue for this year’s heat. Eight schools from Devon and Cornwall participated and we were honoured to have HHJ Christopher Harvey Clark and HHJ Simon Carr amongst the judges. The day was a huge success, with thanks to the Citizenship Foundation Charity, all the local barristers and lawyers  who assisted, the teachers and students for all their hard work in preparation for the day and Sarah Newton MP for her support and inspirational welcome speech.

Congratulations to all the schools who participated, the standard was exceptionally high. The final took place between the teams from Truro and Penwith College and Plymouth High School for Girls with Plymouth High the victors. We wish them the best of luck at the final in Edinburgh in March 2015.

Jenny Kumeta, KBG Chambers, Barrister Regional Co-ordinator, Citizenship Foundation Bar Mock Trial Competition.
